Bethel Christian Academy (BCA) is in its
13th year of providing quality Accelerated Christian Education
(ACE) in Northeast Calgary, under Alberta Ed. supervision.
A.C.E.; The School Of Tomorrow program (Accelerated Christian
Education) that Bethel excels in delivering is the most
advanced Bible-based, character developing private school K-12
curriculum in the world, serving approximately 7,500 Christian
schools of different denominational backgrounds. At BCA,
Calgary, ACE – School of Tomorrow is enhanced with small
enrichment classes and interactive computer learning, along
with a balance of phys. ed. and field trip outings. In their
goal of being the best smaller Christian school possible,
where each student can master education and excel at every
level, BCA goes one step further. Unique to BCA, qualifying
upper level students can blend Alberta Ed. supervised BCA
schooling with home schooling right through to Alberta Ed
awarded graduation. At Bethel Christian Academy staying
smaller is proving better for smaller folks. Even for older
students, “smaller” allows Bethel to offer, where it would be
preferred, a Christian based blend of home schooling and AB
Ed. distance learning to help students stay focused and excel
right through to high school graduation, and beyond. Check out
the options at Bethel.

Calgary Christian School has been providing
faith-based education to students in the southwest for more
than 45 years. Now providing an alternative program within the
Palliser Regional Schools, CCS is pleased to be able to offer
families significantly reduced program fees for the 2009-2010
school year while providing enhanced resources for students
and staff. With a focus on educating the whole child, CCS is
thankful for the dedication and skill of the teachers and
volunteers at both campuses that allows extra-and
co-curricular programs to thrive. Academics are also a strong
point for students, with a significant number of the 2009
graduating class earning an average of 80 per cent or higher
and receiving a provincial scholarship. The Elementary program
has been nominated two years in a row for a Garfield Weston
Award recognizing schools whose overall academic ratings have
experienced consistent improvement over the last five years.
CCS’ vision statement reads "God’s Children Making the World a
Better Place," and students are encouraged to live that vision
in a variety of ways. Whether in cross-graded groups at the
Elementary Campus where students work and learn together, or
High School Leadership and Construction classes serving in
Belize, Central America, students are shown that they can
personally live out their faith and make a difference in their
school, their communities and the world.

Why do families home educate their
children? Recently, when asked this question, Brenda Baradoy,
co-owner of Canadian Home Education Resources, replied, "There
are as many reasons to home educate your children as there are
families. However, quality academics, healthy socialization,
improved character, and sharing your faith with your child are
some of the more common reasons. Parents from all walks of
life are enjoying teaching and learning with their children.
Home education is a successful, proven option to traditional
school." Canadian Home Education Resources has been providing
home education families with quality materials for the past 15
years in Calgary and across Canada. Visit them at 108, 1289
Highfield Cr. SE, in Calgary to find a wide variety of
materials including curriculum, games, manipulatives, novels,
and software for all subjects and grade levels. They carry
materials that would be excellent for home school, after
school, and the classroom.

the spirit and integrity of the school has remained constant
in the areas of: providing a caring and compassionate learning
environment, teaching respect and order to the children,
encouraging academic achievement, building children’s faith in
Jesus as well as developing self-esteem and confidence. The
school runs a full education program for Preschool to Grade

At Rosebud School of the Arts (RSA),
students discover a life of spirit-filled creativity and artistic
expression. Through its conservatory training programs, Rosebud
develops honest, caring, and talented theatre artists who have the
skills and the heart to make a difference in the world. RSA
graduates continue to make a significant impact on the theatre
scene in Western Canada. Unique to Rosebud is its affiliation with
Rosebud Theatre, Western Canada’s largest rural, professional
theatre. With over 40,000 annual patrons, Rosebud Theatre provides
students an unparalleled opportunity to practice their craft in a
working theatre, learning from theatre professionals as they
prepare for a career in the performing arts. Rosebud’s one-, two-,
and four-year programs offer personalized mentoring, hands-on
training, and study trips to Canada’s West Coast, New York City
and London, England. With a staff of gifted instructors, students
receive a theatre education that offers the best of all worlds:
solid training, caring instruction and practical application.
