Pine Lake Christian Camp (PLCC) has existed since 1943 – the result of four young adults with a vision. The camp includes 32 acres of lakefront, woodland and developed property. PLCC is a member of the Alberta Camping Association and as such complies with high standards of health and safety. There are summer camps for all ages – children, youth and families. Camps usually consist of recreation, music, crafts, teaching time, campfires and supervised free time, all in the context of positive Christian values. Camp Teepee Pole works in close association with the Christian Service Brigade and has influenced hundreds of young men to change their lives for the better. The camp is located at the confluence of the James River and the Teepee Pole Creek in the beautiful Bow Crow Forest. It is a semi-rugged camp which offers campers an opportunity to experience God easier through His revealed creation. Boys are involved in activities such as: fire building, knife and ax instruction, building shelters, tubing, outdoor cooking, mountain climbing, archery, riflery, canoeing, white water rafting, rocketry, ham radio and others. Hundreds of boys have been won to Christ through this ministry and many are in full-time work for God now. River’s Edge Camp and Conference centre is just 45 minutes from Calgary, nestled on 300 acres of Alberta’s beautiful foothills amidst a breathtaking panoramic view of the majestic Rocky Mountains. There are summer programs for boys and girls ages 6-18 including awesome activities like horses, mountain biking, a BMX/skate park, and a climbing wall.
