finish around 11:00 on January 8). Cost: $280 (meals are included
and each retreatant will have their own room). Entheos Retreat
Centre. Start the New Year off right by spending a few days
praying and planning for a more abundant 2010. By prayerfully
reflecting on 2009 we can go into 2010 being more aware of where

to greater insight and wisdom rather than just racing through life
with little thought or growth. By being more intentional with our
planning we can be more intentional with our living. Note: there
is limited space in this retreat, we can register only 15 people,
and please register through Fay Wuthrich at

Ongoing Wanted – a
humble, committed Christian who has a heart for poor and abandoned
children. Orphanages for Africa (OFA) is a charity that partners
with ministries in four African countries by providing small
business grants to orphanage ministries. We also run a child
sponsorship program. OFA is currently headquartered in the USA and
we are working toward expanding into Canada. We are seeking a
volunteer Administrative Assistant (located anywhere in Canada) to
help set up OFA-Canada and volunteer from home. We are still in the
process of becoming registered as a Canadian charity, therefore some
duties include assisting the president with responding to the
Canadian Revenue Agency during our application process. The
volunteer would also assist with general administrative duties. Need
to be organized, faithful, reliable and dependable. The right
candidate may eventually be asked to join the board of directors for
OFA-Canada. The hours are flexible. Must agree to not engage in fund
raising as all of our funding comes in by faith and prayer (see our
page on George Mueller on our website). Please visit our website
www.orphanagesforafrica.org to gain more understanding of our
organization. Please email Abby at
abby@orphanagesforafrica.org if you are interested in
volunteering with OFA-Canada.
Ongoing Group Home
Partnership Ministry Opportunity – Youth Guidance is one of the five
ministry divisions of Youth For Christ Calgary. Youth Guidance goes
about fulfilling YFC's mission by mentoring "youth". Youth Guidance
is also developing a partnership ministry that partners with Group
Homes, Church's and Youth Guidance in an opportunity that Christians
can come alongside and partner with local group homes for teens. I
am looking for a person who will commit to being a leader with whom
I can help them develop and foster a partnership with a prospective
group home. This partnership opportunity presented is designed as an
introductory volunteer opportunity with the purpose of being able to
recruit volunteers easily. I'm asking for a volunteer to commit to
serving in the group home once a month. This opportunity gets you in
the door, building relationships with teens and staff at a level
that is not overwhelming but minor enough that you may ask yourself
the question (in due time) how to develop this opportunity? If you
have any interest in being apart of this interesting ministry do
give me (Bernie) a call at 403-291-3179.

WOMEN
November
14 Women’s Journey of Faith celebrates 10
years in ministry! Women’s Journey of Faith is a non-profit,
non-denominational conference for all women based out of Saskatoon.
Founding member and Executive Director Jodi Kozan reminisces of the
day when God planted a seed of the ministry vision into her heart
and remarks that it is “only through God’s incredible love and grace
that we are able to do what we do. We are all ordinary women serving
an extraordinary God.” This year’s theme is based on the Scriptural
verse found in Psalm 18:30 “as for God, His ways are perfect, the
word of the Lord is Flawless”. This year marks WJOF’s first
expansion opportunity with a conference to Calgary the following
weekend on Saturday, November 14th. Join speaker and author Angela
Thomas Author of “When Wallflowers Dance” and “Do You
Think I’m Beautiful” at the Telus Centre. Other guests include
